Reference to the guideline from the website and further suggestions from their nice support guy David, I successfully create a 3D photo of a tambourine and embed it into my eBay listing. Here shows my steps :

1) I place my tripod far away from the tambourine that sits on a flat white surface and zoom in to get a narrow depth of field.  The narrow depth of field blurs the background, which can  improve the results. I take about 36 pictures at different angles by turning the tambourine a bit (around 10%) each time. For a better result, you may consider to use a Lazy Susan or turntable. Without using flashlight, I use a shutter cable to trigger the shutter of the camera since slight movement will blur the image, or make the object wobble when rotating.

2) In the upload page of FotoFuze Pro,  I adjust the value of shadow softness to “2” and total animation time to “12”. You may try different values to create different 360 photos and pick the best one.

3) Then, I upload  all the pictures.  It takes several minutes to process the 360 photo from the 36 images.

4) When the process is done, a thumbnail of 360 photo appears. I click the thumbnail image to open the download page and then copy the HTML embed code.

5) Next step is to open and revise the eBay auction item. I open the HTML editor of description and paste the embed code at the right position.

6) Check the preview of the listing and save the change.

What types of embedded video help eBay listings to sell ?

By Tony Lam

Adding or embedding a Youtube video into eBay listings is not difficult. However, producing a video that compel the buyers to make decision right away is always challenging.  Sometimes, you may be frustrated to find lot of views recorded at your embedded video but no single item is sold.  Before a video is shot, think about what stuff you are going to show that ultimately help your sales. Below is some of tips and tricks for you.

1) Keep the embedded video short

The video should not be longer than two minutes since the attention span of buyers is extremely short. Convey your message clear and precisely before buyers loss their patience.

2) Record clear and sharp embedded video with quality sound

This is a basic requirement for a video show. Videos with blur images and lot of background noise, on the other hand, will hurt your sales. Let the video play at high quality mode but leave an option for HD, since not all buyers have a fast internet connection and default HD video display may take time to show up.

3) Give eBay buyers good reasons to buy your item

Put yourself as the buyers, think about what factors trigger you to buy this item. Does the eBay listings solve your problem ? Does the features suit your needs ? Does it look cool ? Can it be a gadget to show off to your friends ?

4) Compel the eBay buyers to make buying decision right away

Convey a “time sensitive” message to buyers such as limited supply, one time offer, or special offer for first 5 buyers only etc.

5) Adding videos that show endorsement by celebrities or artists

Customers will have more confidence to buy your item when are referred or demonstrated by the people they know.

Examples of eBay embedded videos

Below show some examples of videos that I put on my eBay listings. There are tons of ideas out there for you to explore. Just try them out and see the effect, adjust them and try again. You will be surprised to see how creative you are.

1)      Product overview by scanning from different angle

The video is my first video put on eBay listing back to few years ago. The quality is not good but it serves the purpose to give buyers a rough overview of the product.

2)      Demo of the usage or sound

If the buyers see how it works and hear how it sounds, they have more tendency to buy it with peace of mind. These two videos are very successful. They help me sell  hundreds of items and got the first page of eBay’s “Best Match” search quite a long time.

3)     Show closeup and texture of the material and give a touchy feeling to your eBay buyers.

Since buyers can’t feel the material themselves, you can act on their behalf to “show” the feeling by your hand.

4)       Add videos to show that your eBay item is cool and a lot of fun !

5)       Products demonstrated by celebrities

6)    Combination of  above ; for example, pictures slide show with product overview

Adding video to ebay listing

By Tony Lam

Adding Youtube video to eBay listing is simple. However, a lot of sellers are frustrated when they tried to embed code from Youtube video but only to find error message of “Your listing cannot contain javascript (“.cookie”, “cookie(“, “replace(“, IFRAME, META, or includes), cookies or base href.”

Today, I am going to show you the easy and correct way to embed a Youtube video into your Auction listing.

1. Open your eBay  listing, click “Revise your item”, go to Description Editor,

2. Locate where you want to put the  video, for example, below title wording “(battery included)”

3. Copy the wording “(battery included)” , click tab  to “HTML” view, key “Ctrl F” on keyboard to open the little lookup box at the right bottom corner, paste the words “(battery included)” and you will see “(battery included)” is highlighted.

4. After </p>, press <enter> to add two new lines.

5. Open your YouTube channel, click “Share” , then click “Embed”

Don’t use this default HTML code in the box since eBay will not accept it. If you paste this HTML code to eBay listing, error message of “Your listing cannot contain javascript (“.cookie”, “cookie(“, “replace(“, IFRAME, META, or includes..”) will pop up.

6. Check “Use old embed code” instead, uncheck “Show suggested videos when the video finishes” since it will distract the buyers to view other videos. Select size “560 x 315” or input custom size in the boxes.

6. After the selections, select the HTML codes, right click and copy it.

7. Go back to the eBay listing tab, past the HTML code into the blank lines

8. Add<center></center> at beginning and end of the code to make the video align to center.

9. Click “preview” to see the outcome. Then, save the listing.

Tips and Trick  : To stand out from other listings and draw buyers’ attention, I usually add “see my video ” or “video demo” at the title.
